 GO EXCELLENCE IN PUBLIC PROCUREMENT AWARDS 2012We're delighted that V4 Services is a finalist in this year's Government Excellence in Public Procurement Awards, Best service provided by a small business/third sector organisation. We work in partnership with over 25 local authorities across the UK to drive value from their supplier base, project manage the establishment of new service delivery models and ensure that services are shaped to optimise the benefits for local communities.  SOCIETY OF PROCUREMENT OFFICERS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AWARDS 2011City of York Council, one of our partners, was announced as a finalist at this year's Society of Procurement Officers in Local Government Awards. V4 worked in partnership with the council to implement a centralised Commercial Procurement Unit to work with service departments in the delivery of efficiencies whilst retaining quality service provision. |
 GOVERNMENT BUSINESS AWARDS 2011We're delighted that two of our partners picked up awards at this year's award ceremony. Woking Borough Council, has been commended in the 'Local Government Procurement' category for its work to deliver savings from its supplier community. V4 has been working in partnership with the Council to implement a central Commercial Hub, with a remit to take a whole-council view of non-salary spend and deliver financial savings whilst maintaining or improving frontline services. Winner of the 'Revenue Generation' category was Peterborough City Council, recognised for its achievements in generating external income for the Council. V4 works in partnership with the Council to trade services with other public bodies and develop services to either replace expenditure on external suppliers, a good example of such being the implementation of an internal agency pool of staff or develop new forms of income. |
 V4 RECEIVES ISO 9001 CERTIFICATIONFollowing an independent assessment, V4 has been awarded ISO 9001 certification. The standard, which is only held by about 5% of UK businesses and is supported by the Government and recognised world-wide, is endorsement of an organisation’s working practices, procedures and processes. |
 CREME DE LA CREME BUSINESS AWARDS 2011 - OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SECTOR PROCUREMENTWe’re pleased to announce that our client, Peterborough City Council, has won a Crème de la Crème Business Award for "Outstanding Public Sector Procurement". V4 has been Peterborough City Council’s ‘transformation delivery partner’ over the past four years and is on target to achieve £48m cumulative savings by March 2011. Our Commercial Hub model is just one of 80+ projects which have been implemented within the council to drive financial savings alongside improved operational, environmental and social performance. Commenting on Peterborough City Council’s Crème de la Crème Business Award for Outstanding Public Sector Procurement, Simon Burgess, Chairman of the Judges said: “With the public sector facing harsh cutbacks they need to work smarter and deliver more for less. To help achieve this, the best possible procurement process needs to be in place and Peterborough City Council have gone to great lengths to ensure that this is the case. With savings of over £6 million being delivered directly through the implementation of procurement best practices the Council is putting procurement at the centre to drive commercial decisions. An example for many to follow.” |
 Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply, Supply Management Awards 2010Following a record year of applications to the CIPS SM Awards, Peterborough City Council was shortlisted for 'Best Cross-Functional Teamwork' category. The procurement team is a combination of internal and external resource and is managed by V4 Services.  MJ Awards 2010, Environmental Innovation in Waste Collection Achievement of the Year, Finalist Peterborough City Council The council's comprehensive multi-action approach, which recognises and tackles the problems of costs; performance; staff welfare; service delivery; customer communications and environmental concerns. V4 Services provides client-side leadership and management of Peterborough City Council’s Integrated Waste 2020 Strategy. |
